Description :
Kershaw Gardens opened in September 1988 as part of a project celebrating the Australian Bicentenary. The gardens represent a natural Australian bush environment, in contrast to the more formal style of traditional botanic gardens. The magnificent gardens stretch for 1km along the Bruce Highway and provide an attractive, peaceful setting within the heart of Rockhampton. Things to do at Rockhampton's Kershaw Gardens:
Take the family down for the day and enjoy the excellent playground and picnic/BBQ facilities on offer. There are also plenty of walking tracks and some beautiful examples of Central Qld's native flora.
