Less than 10 minutes (approx 9km) from the Rockhampton CBD is the tranquil Mt Archer National Park. Mt Archer National Park is a great place to go for a short stroll and a picnic or even a long scenic hike. You could also drive to the top where there is there are toilet and BBQ facilities and views to the Capricorn Coast. Other features include spectacular views of Rockhampton City, deep valleys, dry rainforests and fleeting glimpses of the local forest inhabitants.
